Spirit was knocking inside my head for many years before I finally started to listen. Then, when I listened, I didn't hear anything! Being a good industrious American who wanted to see results immediately, it took me awhile to discover the richness of that silence; the power of that nothingness. At first, when I felt nothing in my head I thought I was stupid. Metaphysics confused me. Then I discover that it is elusive at times, for its principles redefine many of the commonly held rules of reality and expand the concept of the "game of life" and how it is played.

In many ways Metaphysics has the same watery qualities of Love. When you try too hard to reach out and grab love, you end up with a wet, drippy clenched fist. And most people don't love a clenched fist. Love is something you feel and innately trust. You experience how it works by being in it day-by-day. You then discover its various qualities and dimensions and learn to apply its mystical power in the situations it creates for you. If you do not trust and believe in love, the magic is diluted and its energy flutters off to become something else.

Metaphysics is like that also. A leap of faith into the realm of trust is what births metaphysics into the physical realm of reality. Metaphysics is essentially learning to read the book of reality to uncover how the spiritual element of life works in the universe. If one tries to read the book of life without looking for the metaphysical laws of cause and effect, one reads a book with every other line missing. The plot is missed; confusion and doubt become the theme.

From that perception, metaphysics and business is a wonderful partnership, for business is based on results in the physical realm and will automatically create opportunities to apply metaphysical principles! It is a unique merger combining spirit, material and your belief system to create value. There are a myriad of ways to integrate both for a successful relationship. But, remember a few of the most basic metaphysical dictates when creating
the merger:

1) Every experience is an opportunity to go for the highest good. Throw away the emotional glasses which focus on victim & get even thoughts.

2) Forgiveness is a key to know yourself on a deeper level. It removes barriers from the path of your growth, fulfillment & success.

3) Loving & respecting yourself sends out a vibration which gives others the space to do the same for themselves. Spiritual growth manifests.

4) Business is an expression of your life force and people gravitate to the integrity of that expression. Give your spirit a chance to breathe.

5) Remember a concept Einstein put forth: "No problem can be solved from the consciousness that created it. A new perceptive is needed." Expand your vision; expand your horizons, expand your success, expand what you are. For you are more than the sum of your memories.

6) Walk your talk. For the trees on your path are planted by your thoughts and placed by your actions. Walking through the trees is more joyful and nourishing than having them block your way.

7) Do what you love with respect for the miracle of life and life will respect and support the miracle of you doing what you love.

8) What goes out, comes about. The spirit of life is creative on its
return trip.

9) God shops. Respect, honor and be kind to your customers...and the rest of us out here too!

10) Humor heals. A smile and laugh have more power than a disapproving grunt. The lightness of humor can lift the heaviness of problems.

As we start the first few years of the 21st century, the human personality, energy and life force will have more effect in the success of a business then ever before. Change is happening fast throughout the planet. Societies, governments, religions, businesses and family-life are all getting their shares of shake-up and re-shaping. It is time for the "spiritual and physical" to integrate-to come together in a harmonious merger which respects the qualities of both. It is an opportunity for humanity to fulfill the higher aspects of what it is. Individuals who participate in business can help set examples of how this merger can work.

So when you reach for that dollar, remember it says
"In God We Trust."
And when reaching for that dollar, remember to apply the spiritual principles you feel in your heart.
